With the expectations and pressure of many weighing on his shoulders. Which was a situation Ki still found himself trying to adjust to. The expectations of his parents and teachers, yes, but not the entirety of the people. Ah he wished he could know how his brother did it, then emulate it in his own way.[break][break]

The gaze of his red eyes was focused outside the carriage until his father spoke, snapping him back into reality. He really loved his people. One of the things that Kishin wished for most was to ensure the safety and peace of those living within the Fire Nation, second only to his desire to make sure his father was proud of him. No, the last thing he wanted was people pointing at him or bowing. Although he might've grown up with that reception he didn't like it much... or felt as if he had yet to earn it. Not that many people would be able to - there was a constant wave of red hair wandering the streets. Either red or black... but his eyes would perhaps stand out. Feeling pressure on his side, it pushed him back with a solid 'oof' only to look deep into beautiful eyes. They were the perfect shade of green in his humble opinion and saying he wasn't drawn to them would be an outright lie. Blinking a few times, Kishin would smile and pull down the mask covering his face so he could speak clearer. "No. I hope you're not hurt though? I can take responsibility if that's needed."

The creaking of wood, signifying a drawn bow echoed through the air. A slow, deep breathing pattern showing the readiness of the archer. Sharp eyes pierced into their target as they waited for the final command. The release of the long-drawn arrow. The young man holding the bow was one of great prestige and power. His name was Kishen and he would never miss his target, either by his bow or by his goals.[break][break]

YOU SHALL BECOME THE GREATEST-[break][break]

He had heard tales of his father, the Fire Lord, the man they called Great, but nothing measured up to the man he knew. No tale or legend could ever outshine the true being and Kishen was more aware of this than anyone. As a younger child, he watched his father train. Become stronger. Reach for greater heights.[break][break]

A fire ignited within his son each time.[break][break]

The spark of determination with continued to push him forward to this day. As the Prince of the Fire Nation he wished so desperately to live up to the expectations of his mother and father. To be able to stand at the peak and show his parents that he was strong.[break][break]

More than anything, he wanted to be able to show others why he was born into this family. To become in ideal son and the ideal prince for the entire world. He wanted no war, no strife, no riches nor fame. But rather acknowledgement of the man he has become through hard work, grueling training and years of dreaming. To become someone his father could proudly say was his son.[break][break]

A PRINCE WORTHY OF THE TITLE-[break][break]

Jealousy over his older brother. A man who was born before who always seemed to have a situation under control. Who knew how to be comfortable within his own form. Kishen looked at him and saw someone strong of heart and mind, which for all his training he had yet to hone.[break][break]

Yet there was no chance he could understand the things that Kujaku did. Things such as beauty and making a more... positive first impression. Meeting others had always given him trouble, often not talking or looking off into the distance. Troubling social interactions. Troublesome for a Prince, this was for certain. He wanted to know, to learn.[break][break]

So he looked up to Kujaku of the Fire Nation.[break][break]

STRONG, POWERFUL, READY[break][break]

Ruby eyes flicked open, returning to his goal as he let the arrow fly. There was a small applause from the man supervising, as once again Kishen returned from his escape. He looked towards the target, now embedded with the projectile only to take a deep breath in. Perhaps mother and father would be proud of him. He desperately wanted them to be. A smile, only to himself, was upon his face as he looked from the target to the sky.[break][break]

He didn't really want to hurt anyone, he wanted peace. Yet be bended the destructive element of fire, promised that perhaps someday he would be taught to bend lightning. Becoming a warrior was his destiny, yet despite this and his need for an education in socialization he wished to be an emissary. To bring the nations together and cooperate. [break][break]

But his father would always come first. So he returned once again to his world, putting down his bow and leaving to find his father and begin his training once again.
