Indra is the firstborn son of the Omashu King within the Earth Kingdom. He is known to be arrogant, lustful, hedonistic and aggressive, but for Indra, such personalities he believes is exactly as befits one who is a prince. Indra is a fair politician, but far more invested in the pursuits of wealth and luxury. He bears talent for Earthbending, but neglects it in the pursuit of more worldly gains. His temper and lavishness have netted him many enemies. For Indra, he believes that this lavishness is the symbol in which drives motivation.

Born as the firstborn of the Omashu King, Indra has never known poverty or lack of wealth. His youth was filled with sycophants asking for favours and those who sought to manipulate the young boy who was to be the future king. As a result of this, Indra developed an ego of absurd proportions. To defend him from those who sought to manipulate him, Indra developed a hard countenance of aggressive confidence to all who approached him, acting both as a foil to deflect those who sought to take advantage of his good nature, and as a mask to comfortably make difficult decisions easily.

Things did not get much easier as the young prince grew into teenage years. The Earth Kingdom is comprised of many different nations, and learning to play nice was not something the boy was accustomed to. To compensate, Indra developed a habit of spending lavishly for acquaintances. Money was the problem to many, many issues, and Indra had luxury and money to spare. He spoiled his allies with gifts and benefits to maintain relationships, and attracted friends of the wrong nature. This lead to many 'betrayals', to which the young prince did not receive well. He developed longstanding grudges, all of which ended with the deaths of his former lovers and friends.

Realizing that money could not resolve every issue and that relationships were only temporary so long as he had power, Indra developed himself with the sole motivation of becoming a person who could attract others solely by nature of his strength. While he is still an arrogant individual, his development into his other strengths has given him a greater understanding of what is required of him to become the next Omashu successor.
