[attr="class","revcallpersonality1"] You suppose your parents are probably mad at you now, after everything they've done for you. Instead of trying to stick together with them you ran off to chase what they called a 'stupid dream'. In a way you guess it kinda was. You were a waterbender and your parents had been proud when it was discovered. They wanted you to train at the Northern Water Tribe - your home. Where all your friends were. But you were far more taken by entertaining others - singing, playing the guitar, creating music.[break][break] It was a different kind of bending in your mind.[break][break] Still you were trained. You were taught. Learning how to bend water for much of your teen years was... much harder than you cared to admit. There was no natural talent from within you, but you worked hard. The last thing you wanted to see were your parents disappointed faces so you practiced. You tried. All you wanted to be was someone they could be proud of. But as you watched others, the benders of the tribe, you realized how far you still had to go. How difficult it would be to reach a level of mastery. Still, you tried.[break][break] There was someone who did approach you someday, a girl. Another bender. She offered you help and guidance when you needed it the most. Her smile - you realized - was your smile. Whenever she was there things got easier, you calmed down and started to think for yourself, rather than what your parents might want. She wanted to hear you play, to sing, to create music the way you wanted. Those secret little times when she brought a few young kids over to listen were the best days of your life, where you would cry yourself to sleep out of happiness.[break][break] Finally, you decided. You had to leave your home to chase your own dreams. To go to the Republic City and perform there to those of all nations. Looking behind you, the sun was just barely rising over the icy world that had been your home for so long. The grip on your guitar tightened as tears formed, but you were determined not to cry. You needed to do this. For yourself. For your dream. For everything you had tried to work for. This was something that had to be done sooner or later. As your boarded the boat, you looked up to see her. The girl that you'd known for so long, waving at you.[break][break] And you smiled. | [attr="class","revcalllikes"] SKILLS+waterbending - apprentice[break] [attr="class","revcalllikes1"] [attr="class","revcalllikes"] inventory-guitar[break] |
